COURSE DESCRIPTION

MBA 501:  Leadership in Business Organizations (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course offers an introduction to essential management concepts characteristic of the contemporary global environment, from a humanistic perspective. Students explore the connections between the business world and culture, particularly through topics such as diversity, change management, corporate social responsibility, interpersonal communication with stakeholders, team dynamics, and globalization processes. The course emphasizes students’ ability to identify the many social phenomena that influence the outcomes of business projects and to adapt to them.

MBA503 - Global Finance (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

When companies merge or expand internationally, they must learn to speak a single language. The same applies to all their software and other internal processes, which may become incompatible over the long term. The terms they use may vary, and their assumptions regarding business rules may differ. Fast-growing companies often face the same problem: each department makes its own decisions regarding terminology, rules, and processes. Even well-established companies suffer from “organizational dislocation”: over time, makeshift interfaces are set up between different operational tasks. It becomes increasingly impossible to modify business processes as complexity increases. This course will explore various models, communication protocols, and case studies to prepare students to address this reality.

MBA504 - Business Research Strategies (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course covers all the steps necessary for conducting research in a professional setting.

MBA530 - Business Ethics   (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course presents all the fundamental approaches that enable international business professionals to engage with different cultures in an appropriate manner.

MBA514 - Cross Cultural Communication (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course addresses the complexities of the intersection between culture and communication in today’s global business environment. It examines how individuals from diverse cultures differ in their use of verbal and nonverbal communication, and how managers can develop strategies to lead effectively in multicultural contexts.

MBA520: Global Market Perspectives (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course examines markets from a global perspective as well as from various local angles. The reduction of trade barriers, advances in information technology, and improved access to transportation have fostered greater economic integration. While businesses and individuals now have more international opportunities than ever before, local differences have not disappeared. Students will therefore explore global markets from different perspectives.

MBA 521: Marketing Management Processes (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course examines the role of managerial decision-making in the marketing process. Financial management, compliance with the laws of both the home and host countries, project management (particularly involving cross-border stakeholders), and policy development are the main topics covered. Emphasis is placed on the concept of the manager as a leader capable of interacting with a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, suppliers, customers, partners, the media, government agencies, and the general public.

MBA 522: International Marketing Research Methods (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course aims to develop students’ ability to conceptualize and apply effective marketing research methods across borders and cultures. Particular attention is given to survey, interview, participatory research, and observation techniques tailored to various international populations. Data collection, analysis, interpretation, and presentation are covered to enable students to produce relevant findings.

MBA 590 - Thesis (20 ECTS / 8 US Credits)

The topic must be related to one of the themes covered during the MBA program and be of direct interest to the student. Generally, during their MBA program, students have developed an interest in a particular topic and wish to explore it in greater depth. Once the topic has been approved, students must follow the guidelines below. The average length of an MBA thesis is 50 to 60 pages.

MBA515 - International Marketing (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)
This course covers various aspects of international marketing and examines a range of strategies.

MBA512- Humain Resource Management in MNCs (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course focuses on the ability of multinational managers to recruit, hire, train, and develop a workforce in a context of multicultural diversity. Emphasis is placed on cultural value systems, social norms, and behavioral patterns that shape an employee’s ability to understand and adapt to organizational norms that may be unfamiliar to them. Negotiation techniques, the application of local labor laws, and mentoring processes for foreign employees are covered.

MBA525:  Advertising (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course examines the strategic process of analyzing and anticipating a company’s external environment, assessing its current and future strengths and weaknesses, defining its objectives while taking into account individual and societal goals, and evaluating its performance and progress against these objectives. It provides students with a comprehensive overview of functional decisions and corporate strategy. Prerequisite: all other advanced-level core courses.

MBA523:  Marketing Strategy Development (10 ECTS / 4 US Credits)

This course will help students understand the fundamental concepts (both theoretical and practical) of advertising and sales promotion. Students will learn to understand the advertising process within a business organization. They will have the opportunity to explore various creative areas related to the production of advertisements and the design of media plans, and to understand the importance of advertising research.
